Cal State East Bay interviews Reina Robinson on her educational background and professional endeavors. "The students that I serve feel like family," said Robinson. "I am a child of teen parents and my father was murdered when I was just three years old. I’m from and have lived in many underprivileged communities where little to no economic or social opportunities are available. Education has afforded me new experiences and provided many opportunities to connect with people I thought I would only read about."

"At First I Thought it Was a Joke": Academic Media Censorship Conference Censored by YouTube2/2/2021 A Mint Press News article by Alan Macleod. "An academic critical media literacy conference warning of the dangers of media censorship has, ironically, been censored by YouTube." Enjoy this op-ed article from Truthout in which Center for Urban Excellence is mentioned "in Oakland, the nonprofit Center for Urban Excellence promotes digital and social media literacy programs for youth affected by incarceration and violence, helping them to understand and counter exploitation of their data by both advertisers and law enforcement;" This exciting block party would give a portion of its proceeds to support the Center for Urban Excellence.
