Center for Urban Excellence (CUE) is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization that supports people affected by incarceration and community violence visualize a future with resources and support to better themselves in spaces of education, economic opportunity and social entrepreneurship in Vallejo, California and beyond.
CUE makes a difference in the lives of youth and young adults who are at risk of illiteracy, substance abuse, poverty, homelessness and incarceration by providing access to educational, career and creative opportunities to help them build economically stable and healthy lives.

Reina Robinson, MA
Founder & CEO
Reina Robinson, founded Center for Urban Excellence 2018 to support system-involved youth and those who've experience community violence. Reina created youth programs, Media Literacy (critical digital medial literacy), Fostering Resilience: Social Emotional & Trauma training and JobTech: College and Career Readiness. Additionally, she is a certified Community Resilience Model (Trauma Research Institute) and Youth Mental Health First Aid trainer. Reina’s past work as a Program Coordinator with the Father’s Resource Center and Teaching Assistant at CSU East Bay has honed her skills in relationship development, youth program design and performance tracking.
Reina's published work focuses on critical digital media literacy, spectrum thinking and afrofuturism. She holds a master's degree in Organizational Communication and bachelor's degree in Ethnic Studies, emphasizing Black Studies and Gender and Sexuality in Communities of Color from California State University East Bay.
Outside of her profession, Reina enjoys reading autobiographies, participating in advancing Afrofuturism and outdoor activities like live music festivals, hiking and BBQing.
