CUE’s family-centered trainings offer practical guidance to help parents and caregivers support their child’s educational success, emotional well-being, and long-term growth. These sessions are designed to build confidence, provide clear information, and foster stronger family and community connections.
Education Rights: Transition Back Home
Supports parents of justice-involved or foster youth with the tools to advocate for their child's education during reentry. This training equips parents with essential skills, tools, and resources to support their child's educational success during the transition back home and beyond. It educates and empowers families to actively engage in their child’s schooling, fostering a sense of community. This initiative not only inspires families but also strengthens their ability to advocate for and enhance their child’s educational journey.
Caring for Youth with Special Needs
Gain insight into navigating the special education system. This session provides guidance on navigating educational resources, managing behavioral challenges, accessing services, understanding IEPs and 504 plans, and supporting youth with behavioral and learning differences using effective, strength-based strategies.
Fostering Resilience in Difficult Times
Introduces CUE’s Fostering Resilience Framework—a strengths-based approach to overcoming adversity. Families learn how to identify and build on existing strengths, set achievable goals, and foster supportive relationships that encourage growth during difficult times.

The Fostering Resilience Workforce Program supports youth and young adults ages 16 and up who face barriers to graduating, gaining employment, or starting a career. We provide holistic case management, training scholarships, educational support, and wraparound services to help participants build the skills, knowledge, and confidence needed to thrive in today’s workforce and academic settings.

The Community Resilience Model (CRM) is a training program that empowers communities to enhance their resilience against trauma and adversity. It teaches three key skills: tracking personal wellness, resourcing to tap into internal and external supports, and grounding techniques to maintain stability in challenging times. Through CRM, communities learn to collectively harness these skills, strengthening their ability to face and overcome difficulties.
